Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is an Canadian actor most famously known for her character Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk who was a well-known actor as well as a producer, director, writer, teacher, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories are of attending play rehearsals and watching her mom do her job. Silk is famous for her television role in the role of Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009 she received nominations from her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. In 2009 she landed the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian TV show Lost Girl. Silk made it known to her fans that she was pregnant at the beginning of January 2013, during the Showcase Season Three Special. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she is ready to resume work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk has, in turn, its prominence on social media has grown to a huge internet following.
