Yael Yael, the Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Since her early years, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of performance and visionaries working behind the scenes of film as well as theatre and television. Yael has a successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael made New York City her home after she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael established The Cannery with her co-founders. Based in a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery is a place to promote new creativity, creative writing and innovative projects and assists in the formation of new writers.
