Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Following that, she performed on Broadway throughout a range of shows up until the year of 1957 in which Li'l abner was famous at the National Theatre. That same year, she made her debut album, It's the right time to Tina. Louise began beginning her Hollywood career in 1958, where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film that was dramatic. The film was a massive success, and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She attended Actors Studio, New York during that time, becoming Lee Strasberg's student. Her contract was signed with CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant.
