Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actor and songwriter who hails of Los Angeles was born in 1983. Thompson is the daughter grandaughter of singer Marc Anthony Thompson, as well as the actor Bobby Ramos. Her family was born within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her father is of Afro-Panamanian heritage and her mother of Mexican as well as British Isles descent. Thompson participated in various productions during her time at Santa Monica High School. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation and was awarded a cultural anthropology degree. She performed as Juliet in the William Shakespeare play "Romeo and Juliet" in a play which was held in the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California. It was the same year that her performance received her the NAACP Theatre Nomination. In addition to the stage, In 2005, Tessa had her first television appearance when she starred in the CBS series
